Narrow Leaf Sunflower
Family: Asteraceae (Aster, composite or daisy family) 4“ pots, shipped bare root but wrapped carefully. Attract bees and butterflies, seeds provide food for birds.
Native range: Panhandle, North and Central Florida south to Lake Okeechobee

Florida regions of landscape suitability: North, Central, South
Garden tips: Narrowleaf sunflower is most suitable for large, open wet sites such as a buffer along wetlands, or planted in a sunny moist meadow; along a lake edge, retention pond or ditch; or in the back of a bog garden. Stems can be pinched back in late spring or early summer to encourage shorter, bushier growth and more blooms. Divide plants for using elsewhere. Plants may die back in winter, particularly in North Florida, but they'll be back!
