Zanthoxalum (xanthoxalum) fagara, Wild Lime, is a larval host for several butterflies, including the Giant swallowtail and Schaus’ swallowtail butterflies. The flowers and leaves smell like lime when crushed, and can be used as an herb, but this plant does not produce lime fruits. Can be used as a formal hedge or privacy screen - grows quickly! In full sun, the leaves are fuller, but can also be grown in shade.  10-20 feet in height; to 26 feet in South Florida. As broad as tall or broader.
