Tilo plant is a deep shade loving tropical ground cover plant native to Central America, found growing under dense forest canopy in rich humus. It is used in certain folk medicine applications as a tea for ailments such as asthma, coughs, fever reducers and anecdotally as a treatment for menstrual issues. It has Coumadin in it - a blood thinner - always use caution when using medicinal herbs. It is a lovely plant with beautiful, purple hooded flowers, and stays low and rambling.
These plants will suffer in too much light! They will tell you clearly by turning yellow. Move them into dark shade and they respond quickly. 4" pots, shipped bare root but wrapped in moistening paper and plastic cling. Pot immediately and water - our shipping method has shown minimal to nonexistent stress as long as the plants are attended to after unpacking.
