Euphorbia punicea | Jamaican Pointsettia Tree | Rare Tropical Spurge

This is an interesting tropical species that is quite different from its xeric cousins in Madagascar. Euphorbia punicea is native to Jamaica. Elegant, tall dark maroon stems with lovely lush foliage and deep, dramatic red petal bracts surround the small yellow flowers, making them look gigantic. Despite being a tropical plant, it is surprisingly drought tolerant.  Can grow into a large shrub if given the space. VERY ornamental !! Big plants in 1 gallon, shipped bare root. 

Once it arrives, please pot it up, give it a good drink, and keep it in a shady area for about a week while it starts to recover. You should see new leaf growth within 1-2 weeks. We ship all orders Mon-Wed excluding federal holidays. If temperatures near you are below 45℉ we highly recommend adding a heat pack to your order. If temperatures will be much lower than 20℉ please leave us a note with your order asking us to hold your order until a given date as heat packs will fail at temps much lower than 20℉.
