Florida Blazing-star

Asteraceae (Compositae)

This wonderful endangered, endemic Florida scrub resident is drought tolerant, and only found on the Lake Wales Ridge and Highlands County! Foliage is fleshy, narrow leaved, stems hairy, allowing it to withstand long periods of hot drought.  Beautiful tall spires of purple flowers bring the pollinators en masse. Will self seed. 4" pots, shipped in careful wrapping. Local pickup is available too!
