This species offers the best tasting paw-paw fruits. Larval host for zebra swallowtail (Eurytides marcellus) and pawpaw sphinx (Dolba hyloeus). Plant this gorgeous tree as an understory tree - and please plant it in the ground. Not great for pot culture long term. Once planted, it cannot be moved again.
