This is a seed grown, slow grown cultivated specimen pictured in a giant 16" clay pot. This is one of the rarest pachypodium species, and this particular specimen is the LARGEST I've ever seen in person. It has been grown without a ton of fertilizer ; the growth is tight, strong and solid. There are so many muscular looking arms growing off the main plant - it would be the star of any caudiciform collection! Exact plant shown. It is 3 feet tall, and pushing the edge of its 16" bowl. Unbelievable plant!!!!! Shipped bare root.
Nice red flowers. There is a wide spectrum of shapes among pachypodium - from arborescent down to very squatty caudex forms. This is more on the caudiciform end. Many plants available online are obviously poached or wild collected. This is a chance to own this rare beauty that's responsibly sourced.
