This is a dwarf ficus species collected in Thailand by Fairchild Botanical Gardens. The species remains a mystery. I have been growing both parent plants now for several years, and they have remained a dwarf plant. It is resilient, as ficus are, and has very succulent little leaves with vibrant, healthy green skin. Tiny fruits that resemble mini figs, typical for ficus, emerge sporadically throughout the year. This is a lovely little bonsai - it does not get out of control like some of its huge cousins! Prefers part shade, very drought tolerant, heat tolerant and has tolerated rain inundation as well as severely dry periods. This is a rare offering! I will update this listing as we learn more about this species from Fairchild, especially if it receives a species name. 4" pots, rooted cuttings, actively growing!
