Baldwin’s eryngo is found growing in low, wet woods, borders of swamps and ponds and moist woodlands. It bears many small flowers, pale puple-blue in color, that attract a great variety of pollinators. Spreads in mats so it makes a great groundcover. Would also do well as a hanging potted plant. Grows like a spider plant with long runners. It thrives in average to wet soil in full sun.  Host for the Black Swallowtail butterfly. Was used as a breath freshener and “candy comfits” whatever the heck those are. Florida Wildflowers website says it’s not commercially available. Ha! We got it!  4” pots shipped in careful wrapping.
